Jane Boardman OBE

Co-Founder, Boardman Ratti Partners

Jane Boardman OBE is one of the UK's leading strategic advisers to boards, CEOs and founders, with more than three decades of experience in brand strategy, business transformation, governance and reputation. A former CEO and Executive Committee member of the AIM-listed M&C Saatchi Group, she has advised some of the world's most recognised companies across beauty, luxury, retail, consumer and the creative sectors — combining commercial insight with strategic thinking to help leadership teams align brand, business strategy and organisational culture.

She founded and led one of the UK's most successful specialist communications consultancies before selling the business to M&C Saatchi, where she became CEO of M&C Saatchi Talk. She became the founding Chair of the British Beauty Council, establishing it as the collective voice of the UK beauty industry. Jane was awarded an OBE for services to the British fashion and beauty industries in His Majesty The King's New Year Honours.

Michela Ratti

Co-Founder, Boardman Ratti Partners

Michela Ratti has spent her career proving that brand value and commercial value are the same argument. A materials engineer by training, she began at Procter & Gamble in R&D before moving into the commercial side of the business. At P&G Prestige in Geneva she became the division's youngest-ever communications leader, helping build the business from $50 million to $12 billion — leading communications for the Wella and Cosmopolitan Cosmetics acquisitions, portfolio rationalisation from 50 brands to 26, and the groundwork for the $12.5 billion Coty divestiture. Her response to the SKII Fukushima crisis — negotiating radioactivity testing protocols with international governments and defending the business against a state-led misinformation campaign — is now a Harvard Business School case study.

She has since held senior brand and communications roles across luxury and technology: Chief Communications Officer at Salvatore Ferragamo during its highest-growth period, acting Chief Brand and Communications Officer for eBay across EMEA, and SVP Marketing Communications at Swarovski, where she merged three businesses behind a single brand idea and lifted the average price point from €50 to €250. As a partner at Perceptual Advisors she advised Fortune 50 enterprises on major reputational turnarounds, and she returned to Ferragamo in 2024 as Chief Brand and Communications Officer. She serves as a Non-Executive Director of The Natural Bottle Holding BV and is based in Zurich.

Principal-led by design

Every mandate is led by a named principal. Where the work benefits from both board and operator perspectives, we work together directly. The model is senior-only, with trusted specialists brought in only when a mandate requires additional expertise.

A practical first step.

A confidential working session to define the strategic moment, identify where alignment is breaking down, and decide whether a diagnostic, focused mandate, retained counsel or an embedded principal is the right response.
